CENTRAL CLOCK TOWER TOURS

Clock Tower Tours
LON19_SO_090_0.jpg

The Central Station Clock Tower has kept Sydney running on time for nearly 100 years and is one of Sydney’s major landmarks and heritage icons.

Constructed as part of the second phase of building, the clock tower ticked into Sydney’s urban experience on 12 March 1921, 15 years after the station first opened.

Visitors will be able to access areas of the tower not normally open to the public on this special tour. Journey through railway time by climbing up the clock tower via the main wraparound staircase, before climbing further up two small spiral staircases, and finally up a ladder to reach the top of the tower. Once there, experience the four giant clock faces and get a close-up view of the original clock mechanism, which is still in place.
